Interested in driving Spotify’s experimentation philosophy across the company while being the first line of support for our platform? Spotify’s Confidence team is looking for a Customer Success Engineer who will serve our internal customers —more than 300 product and platform teams— combining technical depth, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to provide strategic guidance and automate problem‑solving.
We’re seeking a versatile engineer skilled in backend development, SDK development, and customer interaction. Your primary responsibility will be to provide first‑response support to internal Spotify teams using Confidence, our experimentation platform, and to build and maintain strong relationships that ensure their success and satisfaction. Join a high-paced, startup-like team of engineers, designers, data scientists and product managers to drive the adoption, reliability, and effectiveness of our experimentation platform across Spotify. While the role is internal‑facing, Confidence is being built as a product that can serve other businesses; you’ll help shape reusable, productizable solutions. We operate with a startup mindset inside Spotify—expect ambiguity, shifting priorities, and broad ownership.

What You'll Do
Nurture strong relationships with our internal customers (Spotify teams) by providing the support, information and training needed to achieve their desired outcomes.
Monitor and respond to internal support channels for Confidence across 300+ teams, alongside a data science counterpart. Triage and solve issues, raising bugs and complex issues to appropriate teams.
Own first-line triage for incidents impacting Confidence users at Spotify and coordinate with engineering for timely resolution.
Independently resolve most incoming issues using common debugging approaches (e.g., writing queries, reading and interpreting GCP logs, and performing basic code-level investigation).
Group and synthesize recurring inquiries/issues to advocate for deeper, longer‑term remediation.
Propose and drive tooling and automation that reduces support cost and improves developer experience.
Contribute small improvements to SDKs, samples, or docs when it unblocks teams.
Identify points of friction in the onboarding and adoption experience.
Represent the voice of the internal customer and influence the product roadmap to ensure customer satisfaction.
Who You Are
You have an understanding of how developers work, and experienced with modern infrastructure - preferably within an enterprise environment.
You have experience with experimentation (A/B testing), or a strong interest to learn quickly; comfortable with experiment design, metrics, guardrails, and interpreting results in production at a practical level.
You have the ability to debug issues independently by reading Java code, understanding GCP logs, and writing queries.
You are familiar with modern data warehouses and analytics stacks (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing customer issues.
You have excellent written and verbal communicator; calm under pressure and able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
Hands-on experience working with experimentation platforms is a plus!
Where You'll Be
This role is based in London (UK) or Stockholm (Sweden).
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
