We’re a growing, multi-location retail organization seeking a dedicated and hands-on IT Specialist to support our corporate office and retail stores. This individual will play a key role in maintaining system uptime, assisting end users, and supporting new store rollouts and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily help desk support to corporate staff and retail store users.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems across multiple locations.
  • Support new store openings by setting up workstations, printers, scales, network devices, and running cabling.
  • Participate in multi-site rollouts, including overnight maintenance windows when required.
  • Configure and maintain networking hardware, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, user management, and documentation of network diagrams and configurations.
  • Monitor store uptime and respond to technical tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct basic cabling work and network testing (Cat5e/Cat6 terminations, patch panels, labeling).
  • Collaborate with store management and corporate teams to ensure seamless communication and minimal operational disruption.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree in IT or Computer Science (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+ (additional certifications such as CCNA or Microsoft Administrator a plus).
  • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally in a retail or multi-location environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, handheld scanners, and back-office workstations.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and WAN/LAN topology.
  • Experience running and terminating network cabling and installing network hardware.
  • Exposure to SD-WAN and firewall configuration is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working in active retail environments with minimal disruption to store operations.
  • Flexibility for early mornings, late nights, and occasional weekend work.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
