Description

 

  • Conduct client intake, vocational assessments, and discovery processes to identify strengths, preferences, and career goals.
     
  • Develop individualized job plans, addressing barriers such as transportation, benefits, or skill gaps.
     
  • Assist participants with job searches, resume preparation, interview skills, and workplace readiness.
     
  • Coordinate and provide job coaching, both on-site and off-site, to ensure successful job performance and long-term retention.
     
  • Develop and maintain positive employer relationships to promote inclusion and identify new job opportunities.
     
  • Train and support other Employment Specialists and contracted staff as needed.
     
  • Ensure all documentation meets GVRA and Medicaid billing standards and submit timely reports.
     
  • Participate in Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings, providing progress updates and input on employment goals.
     
  • Collaborate with families, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams to support each client’s holistic success.
     
  • Maintain compliance with all Hi-Hope Service Center policies, safety guidelines, and confidentiality standards.
     

Requirements

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Special Education, Human Services, or a related field (required).
     
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience providing supported or customized employment services to adults with developmental disabilities.
     
  • ACRE Certification (required).
     
  • Experience managing job placements, employer relationships, or coaching in a vocational, educational, or therapeutic environment preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
     
  • Ability to teach, coach, and motivate individuals toward independence.
     
  • Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
     
  • Professional demeanor with strong relationship-building and community networking abilities.
     
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and electronic documentation systems.
     

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
     
  • Must obtain CPR/AED, First Aid, Transportation & Vehicle Emergency Evacuation, and De-escalation (QBS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
