The Opportunity

The Payroll & HR Administrator supports the accurate and timely processing of team member administration, supporting the team member lifecycle and contributing to a seamless team member experience. The role will act as a key point of contact for payroll and benefits queries, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

What you'll get to do

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and onboarding documentation for new starters
  • Coordinate reference checks, ensuring timely completion and follow-up where necessary
  • Prepare and issue team member correspondence, including change letters and employment references
  • Oversee the administration of team member lifecycle events, liaising with IT and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding
  • Act as gatekeeper for the team member lifecycle process, ensuring all stages are supported by auditable documentation
  • Maintain accurate team member records, including team member listings and electronic files, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Conduct ongoing right to work checks in line with legal requirements
  • Update and maintain team member data in the HR system, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Administer life events, such as maternity, paternity, adoption leave, and long service awards
  • Manage the Payroll inbox, responding to team member queries related to pay, benefits, and statutory entitlements
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, contributing to broader team goals
  • Assist the Payroll & Benefits Manager and Head of Compensation & Benefits during internal and external audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements across payroll and benefits administration
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required to support the HR function
