Position Summary
Orange EV is seeking an experienced Account Operations Manager to serve as the primary operational point of contact for our largest and most strategic customer account. In this pivotal role, you will own the day-to-day operational relationship, ensuring seamless execution across all touchpoints from order to delivery to ongoing support. You will be responsible for understanding and adapting to the customer's unique systems, processes, and requirements, while building scalable operational frameworks.
Position Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of operational contact between Orange EV and the Customer
- Conduct comprehensive discovery of customer vendor management systems, processes, reporting requirements, and communication protocols
- Create and maintain the "Account Operational Playbook" documenting all unique processes, requirements, and escalation procedures
- Build and manage relationships with key operational contacts
- Coordinate cross-functional activities internally (manufacturing, logistics, quality, service, engineering) to meet customer commitments
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all customer-required reporting, including uptime scorecards and performance metrics, and more
- Manage customer expectations and communications regarding truck deliveries, deployments, and any service issues
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead preparation for and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and executive-level customer meetings
- Proactively identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies before they impact the customer
- Serve as an escalation point for urgent customer issues, coordinating rapid response across internal teams
- Develop and maintain customer-specific documentation, including compliance records and audit trails
- Translate customer requirements into actionable work for internal teams
- Monitor customer satisfaction and identify opportunities to strengthen the relationship
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in account management, operations, or customer success roles
- Proven experience managing large, complex customer relationships, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or transportation industries
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation abilities
- Experience with enterprise vendor management systems and customer portals
- Demonstrated ability to build processes and documentation from scratch
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and data analysis tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Customer-centric mindset with commitment to operational excellence
Ideal Candidates
- Experience in the electric vehicle, heavy equipment, fleet management, or logistics industry
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and supply chain coordination
- PMP or similar project management certification
- Experience implementing process improvements or operational frameworks
- Background in technical or engineering-focused customer support
- Knowledge of SLA management and performance metric tracking
- Experience with large-scale fleet deployments or vehicle delivery coordination
