Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, bills of materials, and job specifications to determine required components.
- Pick, count, and kit materials accurately based on production needs.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality of items to ensure complete and correct kits.
- Label and package kits according to company standards and staging requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Communicate with inventory, production, and shipping departments to resolve any material issues.
- Restock “mini marts” between buildings in production.
- Keep kitting areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
- Follow all company safety and quality policies.
- Other job responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or kitting environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and part labels.
- Basic computer skills or familiarity with inventory systems a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Occasional kneeling, crouching, or climbing.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are required to handle small parts.
- Ability to visually inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse or production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel or composite toe shoes are required.
