Objective

The Digital Content Producer is a creative leader in the development and production of Moody Global Media’s digital storytelling. This role combines vision and execution—generating original ideas, shaping narratives, and guiding content from concept through final delivery. The Digital Content Producer applies artistic judgment, editorial discernment, and creative decision-making to ensure all content is created with excellence. This position works closely with the Digital Content Manager to ensure all content is in alignment with Moody’s theological values and mission.

  • Conceive, pitch, and develop new content ideas for digital platforms, ensuring originality and alignment with Moody’s mission.
  • Shape the editorial and visual direction of content, determining style, tone, and storytelling approach.
  • Exercise discretion in selecting and refining content elements (music, graphics, pacing, narrative flow) to maximize creative impact.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Content Manager and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organization-wide content initiatives.
  • Direct and produce content from concept through post-production, ensuring creative vision is achieved.
  • Make independent artistic choices in camera framing, lighting design, sound capture, editing rhythm, and visual effects.
  • Collaborate with on-air talent, writers, and other creatives to guide performance and storytelling toward compelling outcomes.
  • Edit selected projects hands-on, shaping narrative flow, pacing, and creative style through independent editorial judgment.
  • Collaborate with the Post-Production Manager to oversee editing workflows, providing creative direction and feedback to ensure the final product meets artistic, strategic, and theological goals.
  • Make creative decisions about visual style, sound design, graphics, and pacing—whether executing directly in software or guiding others through the process.
  • Ensure final deliverables maintain consistency in tone, quality, and audience engagement across platforms.
  • Provide direction and feedback to Digital Content Editors, interns, and contributors to ensure work meets creative vision.
  • Act as a bridge between strategy and execution, translating institutional goals into imaginative content experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align storytelling approaches with organizational priorities while maintaining creative integrity.
  • Continuously explore new media formats, emerging creative tools, and industry trends to push storytelling forward.
  • Experiment with innovative approaches to digital engagement, introducing new creative techniques and narrative strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Three years of professional experience in video and audio production or equivalent portfolio demonstrating proficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency with video editing software.
  • Strong creative instincts in visual storytelling, narrative structure, pacing, and audience engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate ideas and transform them into completed content
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to guide creative discussions and influence outcomes.
  • Skilled in camera operation, lighting design, and on-set audio capture.
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrated on-camera or voice-over experience, with the ability to create content in a professional, engaging manner.
  • Proficiency in motion graphics design and animation using software such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience developing content strategies for multi-platform distribution, including YouTube, social media, and web.
  • Familiarity with live production environments and multi-camera workflows.
  • Working knowledge of sound design, color grading, and digital asset management best practices.

This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday worked hybrid from both the Chicago campus and from home (within Chicagoland). Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as production schedules and ministry needs require. While much of the role occurs in a professional office and studio environment, this position also involves regular on-location film shoots—both indoors and outdoors—in a variety of settings (campuses, events, ministry sites, and other field environments).

This job operates in a professional office and studio environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; carry camera and lighting equipment (up to 40 lbs), and move between production sites as needed.
