Revenue Officer

Grade: Clerk Grade 5/6
Employment Type: 2x Full-time, Temporary opportunities up to 12 months (with potential to extend)
Location: Flexible NSW locations + Hybrid working.  

This role sits within the Revenue Management Team - Strategy & Innovation, Revenue NSW

About the team

Revenue Management are a small team within Strategy & Innovation. We are responsible for the financial management and reconciliation of over $45 Billion in state revenue annually.

Your day-to-day

• Reconciling core business systems with financial ledgers to ensure accuracy in internal and statutory reporting.
• Preparing revenue reports and information notes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing financial and technical advice to support projects and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies in systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting system testing activities and contributing to project lifecycle documentation.
• Performing administrative tasks to maintain team operations, policies, and procedures.
• Contributing to multiple continuous improvement projects.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• An understanding of accounting principles; qualifications or equivalent experience along with strong excel skills are highly regarded.

Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at 99,938 base plus superannuation
