Are you ready to step into a pivotal role at the forefront of technological advancement and national security? We're seeking a skilled individual to join our team for an electrifying third-shift position, where you'll play a crucial role in operating radar systems during integration and test events. With a Secret Clearance prerequisite and the flexibility to transition to other shifts in the future, this opportunity promises a thrilling journey ahead.

Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the safe and efficient operation of our radar systems, ensuring strict compliance with standard operating procedures. As the guardian of our systems, you'll meticulously maintain run logs, documenting every aspect of integration and testing activities, run requests, and system configurations. Your sharp eye for detail will be vital as you identify anomalies and respond to real-time issues, ensuring seamless integration and testing processes.

In addition to your primary duties, you'll also lend your expertise to troubleshooting and investigating software and hardware issues, serving as a valuable resource to our integrators and maintainers. Your role will extend to participating in system maintenance activities, providing essential support as an extra set of hands, and maintaining the tools necessary for smooth system operations. Furthermore, you'll be responsible for performing data transfers with precision and efficiency.

To excel in this role, you'll need to demonstrate proficiency in key technical skills, including Linux/Unix command line navigation, file/folder manipulation, and light scripting, as well as introductory to intermediate knowledge of MATLAB. Your keen attention to detail, coupled with strong communication skills, will enable you to effectively brief leads and team members on observed issues and test shot notes. Moreover, your customer-facing demeanor will be invaluable as you represent our program in joint operations within a common workplace environment.

 

Due to the nature of this role- Secret Clearance is needed and this role will be on the 3rd shift with the ability to move shifts at a later point. 

Ideal candidates will possess 

  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate radar during integration and test events
  • Safe operation of the system and compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Maintain run logs documenting I&T activities, run requests, and system configurations
  • Identify anomalies/observations and respond to real time issues during integration/testing
  • Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist with troubleshooting and investigation of software (SW) and hardware (HW) issues
  • Participate in maintenance of systems (support integrators/maintainers) (usually as “extra set of hands”)
  • Maintain tools for system operations
  • Perform data transfers
  • Key Skills/Attributes
  • Linux/Unix – command line navigation, file/folder manipulation, light scripting
  • MATLAB – introductory/intermediate – use existing scripts and/or modify new scripts
  • Detail oriented – follow process/procedure, recommend improvements, make detailed and organized observations
  • Communication – brief leads/team members on issues observed and test shot notes
  • Customer-facing – represent program in joint operations in common workplace
  • Experience 
  • 5+ years experience with RF test operations, preferably in Raytheon site. Will consider similar sites under purview of US Navy
  • 4-year degree in engineering, or 5+ years relevant experience (ex-military SPY, Patriot, THADD programs).
  • Requires training at Marlborough, MA site followed by OJT
