Our Capital Programmes Team plays a key role in our mission to provide tenants with great places to live. The team’s remit is to
1) deliver high-quality refurbishments and energy improvement works to retrofit properties
2) manage the delivery and handover of new homes in direct transactions with the major UK housebuilders; and
3) maintain our high standards through effective management of responsive repairs and void works.

This is a high impact role in a critical business function, where you will work closely with the Delivery Manager to coordinate the inspection, handover, and defect processes for new homes entering our portfolios, and other essential Capital Programmes team functions.

After 12 months you’ll have supported the successful delivery and handover of a significant volume of new homes into our portfolios, ensured that processes and documentation have been diligently managed, and contributed to measurable improvements in our delivery processes.

What you’ll be working on

  • Review property information and identify missing or incorrect items
  • Coordinate with external inspection providers (e.g. snagging surveyors) to ensure timely inspections are completed for new build homes
  • Review and issue inspection reports and liaise with housebuilders to ensure defects are remedied
  • Collect, review, and organise all handover documentation (certificates, warranties, compliance records) to ensure completeness
  • Schedule and coordinate defect inspections at the close of defect liability periods, escalating unresolved issues where required
  • Communicate internally on milestones, delivery schedules, and timelines
  • Maintain accurate data in internal systems and trackers to support reporting and compliance
  • Assist in preparing reporting packs and KPI updates for stakeholders
  • Support with the delivery of wider Capital Programmes team responsibilities as required

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant working experience within the real estate environment, with a track record of meeting objectives within sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to handle technical information, manage documentation accurately, and learn new concepts quickly
  • Confidence in communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and housebuilders
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of data and documentation
  • Continuous improvement mindset and collaborative working style, with a proven ability to operate cross-functionally and at pace with success
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Office, or Google Workspace equivalents
