OVERVIEW
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates across the institution to consolidate and analyze data on Smithsonian operations, activities, and audiences.
- Utilizes software applications (e.g., AWS, Tableau, Excel, PowerBI) to organize data, graphs, charts, and tables to communicate the underlying data information visually, highlight areas of concern, establish trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Develops data visualizations and reports to communicate context, findings, and recommendations to decision-makers.
- Develops public-facing data visualizations to communicate SI’s reach and impact.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Skill using software programs (e.g., AWS, Tableau, Excel, PowerBI) to create and update complex databases and to prepare analytic materials.
- Knowledge of a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and of management processes and systems.
- Comprehensive skill in project management, preparing and delivering reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Skill to plan, organize and direct team projects and to influence management to support and implement recommendations.
- Ability to communicate verbally or written technical information and presentation for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to highlight important concepts with the use of charts, tables, and illustrations.
