Pay Range: $16.66-$17.34

RETAIL CASHIER JOB SUMMARY:
Provide guests with exceptional service in the retail department. This position is responsible for accurately processing transactions, assisting guests with product knowledge, maintaining merchandise displays, and contributing to a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, confident, capable of working independently or as part of a team, and able to maintain composure during busy or stressful times.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:

Accurately handle cash, credit, or debit transactions: Manage all sales transactions efficiently and with accuracy.

Use POS software (Entabeni): Process sales and complete transactions using the point-of-sale system.

Learn product knowledge: Understand retail items to suggest appropriate products to guests.

Maintain merchandise displays: Fold clothing and reset products on shelves to keep the retail area organized.

Guest interaction: Proactively greet guests and confidently engage with them.

Follow instructions: Apply commonsense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.

Work independently: Perform tasks unsupervised as required.

Adhere to POS opening and closing procedures: Follow proper steps to open and close the cash register system.

Demonstrate initiative: Complete routine and special assignments thoroughly and proactively.

Maintain composure: Stay calm and professional during high-stress periods.

Team collaboration: Be a competent and willing team player.

Ensure guest service standards: Deliver service consistent with Mission Ridge’s expectations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Candidates should have at least one year of guest service or similar experience. Experience with Windows and Google Suite software ranging from six months to one year is preferred. At least one year of cash handling experience is also preferred, along with ten-key ability by touch.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role requires standing for extended periods, folding merchandise, and using POS terminals. Employees must maintain focus, communicate clearly, and perform tasks in a busy retail environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily indoors in a retail store environment with moderate noise and foot traffic. The pace is often fast, especially during peak periods. Employees work closely with coworkers and interact regularly with guests. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
