The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees.
The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,200 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Modern library-media centers, integration of technology, and specialized instruction help provide a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum to support students to become innovative, critical thinkers who readily adapt to a rapidly changing 21st-century environment.
Job Summary
This management position works 11 months per year and is grant-funded
Required Documents
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social/behavioral science or a related field;
OR
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, behavior science, human development, social work, rehabilitation, or in a related field desirable;
AND
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required;
Experience
1. Two years of professional experience working with school-aged children with challenging behaviors in the public school setting is desirable.
2. Training in a variety of methodologies related to working with students with autism and related disorders, including advanced experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA);
3. Experience in the development and implementation of behavioral support programs;
4. Specialized training or coursework in childcare, child behavior, psychology or teaching and related fields desirable;
Bilingual Spanish and/or Vietnamese desirable.
Each application must include a current resume along with three letters of recommendation. Among these, a letter from a direct supervisor is required. All letters of recommendation must be dated within 12 months of the application.
Requirements / Qualifications
THE POSITION: Under general direction, is responsible for the operation of the District's Behavior Support Program; supervises the activities of assigned personnel; plans and directs behavioral intervention programs for school-aged children; administers a budget and budgeted expenditures.

THE EXAMINATION: Applicants who pass the application review (paper screening) will be invited to a Level 1 oral exam interview. Following the oral exam interview, the top three rankings based on the exam scores will be sent forward to the final interview process. To move forward, you must score an 80% or higher on the Oral exam.
