JOB TITLE: Promotions Specialist (Must be 21 years of age or older.)

DEPARTMENT: Promotions

REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

SALARY: Grade 3

               Range Starts: $16.38/hourly

               Range Ends: $24.56/hourly

CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

SUPERVISES: None                                                     

JOB SUMMARY: This team member is assigned to the Marketing Department to lead all promotional events, including the planning, set-up, and operation of promotional and special events. 

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:  

 

  1. Works with vendors, guests, and team members on promotions.
  2. Attends community events for Win-River Resort & Casino promotional campaigns.
  3. Assists in maintaining and ordering merchandise and decorations for in-house and offsite Resort & Casino promotions, as well as in-house incentives for guests.
  4. Assists with Promotions Department reports and goals, including assisting in helping to maintain the promotions and budgets.
  5. Assists in creating monthly promotions with the Marketing team and other Resort & Casino managers and assisting in monitoring results through the OASIS Resort & Casino Management System to measure effectiveness.
  6. Responsible for all Resort & Casino issued cash banks and sales items and ensures all cash handling conforms to Resort & Casino policies and applicable regulations, including balancing of daily bank and completion of all required paperwork.
  7. Coordinates Promotions activities with other departments.
  8. Decorates, sets-up, and implements of all Resort & Casino events, promotions, and holiday events.
  9. Provides upkeep, maintenance, and organization of all promotion equipment and products.
  10. Assists the Director of Marketing with monthly reporting to ensure the effectiveness of the promotions.
  11. Ensures maximum positive results for the entire Resort & Casino in Promotions and Player’s Club.
  12. Provides a positive Win-River Resort & Casino image in person, on the phone, and through written material. 
  13. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino.
  14. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program.
  1. Other duties as assigned by the Promotions Supervisor and/or Director of Marketing.

 


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School Diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is required. 

 


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

 

The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position; however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:  

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related progressive experience and/or training are required. 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are required.
  • A valid California’s driver’s license and current vehicle insurance are required.
  • The ability to perform job functions in an atmosphere where priorities and deadlines may change frequently is required.
  • Strong computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, data entry, and 10-key skills are preferred.
  • A strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence, concurrent with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the organization is required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently sits.
  • Occasionally stands, walks, bends/stoops, climbs, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squats.
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to fifty (50) pounds is required.
  • Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required.
