As the Safety Data & Systems Lead, you will report to the Director, Business Operations Safety and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Lead safety data management and reporting processes, and the safety training, safety communication & safety consultation programs.
- Develop and maintain a framework for data management, analytics and reporting to support meeting the needs of both internal and external performance reporting requirements.
- Provide functional expertise in building and creating reports for Executive and Board level reporting.
- Support the development of fit for purpose data and information systems and infrastructure.
- Lead the structuring, disseminating, analysing and reporting on safety performance data and information across the business.
- Support the Safety function to implement intelligent mechanisms across the business to improve performance tracking, insight, and predictability.
Your Day to Day
This role will
- Assist in the development and implementation of a reporting framework for managing safety information, data and performance evaluation requirements across the business.
- Liaise with other AirTrunk functions to ensure safety reporting and analysis is evidence-based and accurate.
- Work with users and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse requirements for safety data systems and reporting frameworks, identifying and implementing improvements to optimise system functionality and reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain safety data systems and dashboards using data modelling techniques, ensuring alignment with business requirements using DAX and SQL.
- Conduct data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from systems including NetSuite, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Procore, and Excel to support reporting accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials; support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training for new system features and processes.
- Collect, interpret, and analyse EHS data and information to identify trends and patterns in data sets.
- Compile reports on the results of analyses.
- Liaise with site based EHS team members to collect, compile and review customer related weekly and monthly reports.
- Support the development of EHS reports for Executive and Board committees, meetings, and information requests.
- Support improvements to digital systems utilised for EHS data collection and reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams using Jira, SmartSheet and project management tools to track requirements, progress, and deliverables for safety initiatives.
- Modify or update existing reports as required.
- Provide training, mentoring and coaching to key AirTrunk staff for effectively navigating EHS management and data collection systems.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years in a similar position.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation for data or information systems, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions (Power BI, Excel, etc.).
- Experience developing functional specifications and supporting system enhancements or integrations (DAX, SQL etc.).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation for data or information systems.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) is desirable.
- Ideally, you have experience in working in safety in developing economies.
Excellent knowledge of risk management strategies and processes.
- Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen.
- Above average writing and data presentation skills.
