Summary
The Senior Accountant is a critical member of Shift4’s Finance organization, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance across global entities. This role drives tax implementation efforts, supports budgeting and KPI analysis, and partners cross-functionally to enhance financial processes. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in strengthening financial operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and contributing to strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial consolidations in accordance with US GAAP.
- Review, prepare, and oversee reporting packages of global subsidiaries.
- Implement and monitor the group’s global tax strategy, including planning and execution.
- Prepare monthly and annual tax returns for group companies.
- Own and maintain internal financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Support the budgeting process and manage budget control across departments.
- Analyze financial data and business KPIs to identify risks and opportunities.
- Participate in system improvements and process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external advisors as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed CPA – Preferred.
- Experience in high-tech or multinational companies – Preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Superior Excel skills – Mandatory.
- ERP system experience (NetSuite strongly preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – Mandatory.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to take on new challenges.
