Qualifications:

• Has knowledge of developmental stages of children

• Is dependable, punctual and highly organized

• Demonstrates a deep understanding of the content of the activity

• To instruct athletes in the fundamentals skills, strategies and physical training necessary to realize individual and team success.

• To provide instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self discipline, and self confidence.

• Assume full responsibility for the overall supervision of the assigned program.

• Know, understand and implement rules imposed by the school.

• Verify each athlete’s academic and medical eligibility.

• Supervise and conduct practices and contests in a safe manner.

• Supervise all athletes after practices and games until they leave school grounds.

• Manage and maintain uniforms, equipment, facilities in a responsible manner and notify the Athletic Director immediately of any defective or damaged equipment.

• Notify the Athletic Director of budgetary needs.

• Develop good public relations with the parents, school and community.

• Communicate effectively with the Athletic Director, administrators, players and parents.
