Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling lift tickets, rental equipment, merchandise, gift cards, ski/snowboard lessons and season passes, as well as assisting customers both in person and over the phone. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional service and ensure a positive experience for all guests. 

Requirements

Sales and Transactions: 

  • Sell lift tickets, rental equipment, merchandise, gift cards, and season passes to guests. 
  • Operate the POS system to process payments accurately and efficiently. 
  • Upsell and promote additional services and products to enhance the guest experience. 
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and maintain accurate sales records. 

Customer Service: 

  • Greet guests warmly and provide information about Buck Hill’s offerings and services. 
  • Assist customers with their purchases and answer any questions they may have. 
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner. 
  • Provide support to guests over the phone and in person, ensuring their needs are met promptly. 

Administrative Duties: 

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, reservations, and guest information. 
  • Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods securely and responsibly. 
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed and filed correctly. 
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of tickets, rental equipment, and merchandise. 

Facility Management: 

  • Ensure the ticket office and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and presentable. 
  • Restock brochures, forms, and other informational materials as needed. 

Communication: 

  • Relay important updates and information to guests and team members. 
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. 
  • Provide clear and concise information regarding lesson times, meeting points, and equipment rentals. 

Safety and Compliance: 

  • Adhere to all Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. 
  • Assist with emergency procedures and incident reporting as needed. 

General Support: 

  • Provide general administrative support to the Ticket Office and SnowSports Center teams. 
  • Assist with special events and activities as required. 
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager to ensure smooth operations. 

Qualifications 

Experience: 

  • Previous experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred. 
  • Experience in a ski resort or recreational facility is a plus. 

Skills: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities. 
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and other computer applications. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment. 
  • Physical stamina to assist with equipment and participate in various operational tasks as needed.
