Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Ski Instructors to join our team for the upcoming winter season. As a Ski Instructor, you will play a key role in providing exceptional skiing instruction to guests of all ages and skill levels, ensuring they have a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience on the slopes. 

Requirements

Instruction: 

• Provide ski instruction to individuals and groups, ranging from beginners to advanced skiers. 
• Tailor teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and skill levels. 
• Demonstrate and teach proper skiing techniques, safety protocols, and slope etiquette. 

Student Assessment: 

• Assess students' skiing abilities and progress throughout lessons. 
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve. 
• Ensure students are appropriately grouped based on their skill levels. 

Safety and Supervision: 

• Promote and enforce safe skiing practices. 
• Monitor students on the slopes to ensure their safety and adherence to ski area rules. 
• Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively. 

Customer Service: 

• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with guests. 
• Answer questions and provide information about Buck Hill's facilities and services. 
• Handle guest concerns and feedback professionally. 

Qualifications 

Experience: 

• Previous experience in ski instruction or a strong skiing background is preferred. 
• Knowledge of skiing techniques and safety practices. 

Certifications: 

• PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) certification is a plus but not required. 

Skills: 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Patience and the ability to work well with children and adults. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to ski for extended periods and in various weather conditions. 
• Physical stamina to assist students with equipment and participate in on-slope activities.
