Sr Network Engineer - Water en City of Scottsdale, AZ

About the Department

The City of Scottsdale is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance the network infrastructure behind one of the most critical public utilities — our municipal water systems. This position is part of the Water IT division and plays a key role in managing both enterprise and SCADA/ICS network environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ICS/OT platforms, and will be responsible for maintaining secure, high-performance connectivity across both air-gapped and citywide networks. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated engineer to work on a diverse range of technologies, influence long-term infrastructure strategy, and help safeguard vital public services. Position Duties

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
• Five years' network engineering experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

• Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date.  The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out-of-state driver's licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to the State of Arizona.
• Preferred: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
• Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
