General Summary: 


The Operations Associate II - Wire builds upon foundational responsibilities to perform more advanced operational tasks within the Wire Department. This role involves independently managing routine duties and addressing moderately complex issues with guidance. The associate demonstrates growing experience in department policies and procedures and actively contributes to process improvements and efficiency. This position marks a progression from the Operations Associate - Wire I role by emphasizing increased autonomy, knowledge development, and preparation for Officer-level responsibilities within the department.

Manage the Transaction/Tasks

  • Review and process all outgoing and incoming wire transfers.
  • Handle wire services, including cancellations, amendments, recall of funds, return of funds, etc.
  • Prepare and verify batch transaction entries (BTE) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform OFAC screening for pending wire transfers.
  • Monitor FED funds, Wells Fargo, and relevant wire funding account balances, and notify officers of potential transfers and drawdowns when necessary.
  • Respond to wire inquiries and complete research requests timely.
  • Notify branches/departments of returns and rejects, and other related email communications.
  • Ensure logs are complete and up to date.
  • Maintain records retention and disposal, as well as office supply requisitions.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the business.

  • Ensure assigned wire transactions are processed accurately and promptly, escalating issues to an Officer as needed.
  • Understand and elevate transactions per the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines.
  • Review transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations to minimize risk and liabilities.
  • Ensure all duties and responsibilities are performed in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required bank training on relevant laws and regulations and stay current with bank policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policies and procedures, safety rules, etc.
  • Independently follow established processes, maintain accurate records, and address minor issues with guidance.
  • Be reliable and consistently show skills by following the work schedule.
  • Use Microsoft Office products and basic office equipment at a moderate proficiency level.

 

Education and Experience:


  • High school graduate or equivalent and
  • One (1) year customer service, or related experience.
  • Complete Leadership In Action and Advanced Leadership training, or willing to attend.
