- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the new teacher and leader induction program, ensuring it effectively supports educators as they transition into the district.
- Lead and support the team responsible for induction programs, ensuring that all new educators receive structured, high-impact mentorship aligned with district instructional and leadership expectations.
- Partner with instructional coaching teams and school administrators to align induction efforts with classroom observation feedback, professional learning communities (PLCs), and instructional improvement goals.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, making data-driven decisions to refine support systems and improve retention.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with universities, professional organizations, and community groups to support leadership pipelines and professional learning opportunities.
- Facilitate advisory committees consisting of educators, leaders, and community representatives to provide input on program development and improvements.
- Represent the district in local and state-level discussions on leadership development, professional learning, and educator support.
- Establish structured engagement opportunities with APS stakeholders to increase community involvement in educator support and leadership development initiatives.

- Master’s degree required.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain Georgia Professional Standards Commission Certification at Level 5 or higher
- Educational Leadership preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in education, with a strong background in leadership development, educator support, coaching, and professional learning.
- Building-level principal experience preferred, demonstrating a deep understanding of school leadership and instructional oversight.
- Understanding of adult learning and leadership development frameworks to build effective programs.
- Familiarity with state and federal education policies, certification requirements, and compliance regulations.
- Deep knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment best practices to align leadership development with academic goals.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making and program evaluation methodologies to measure impact.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director – Educator Readiness, and Growth is responsible for preparing, supporting, and developing educators and school leaders to ensure a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline within the district. This position provides strategic oversight for leadership development, new educator induction, and initiatives that strengthen instructional and leadership capacity at all school levels. In collaboration with district and school leadership, the Director leads initiatives for aspiring principals and assistant principals, ensuring they receive targeted development, mentorship, and real-world leadership experiences that prepare them for success. Additionally, this role requires cross-functional collaboration, meaningful engagement with community stakeholders, and effective budget and resource management to ensure program sustainability, equity, and alignment with district-wide goals.
