POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the production assistant is responsible for maintaining production records and reports, inventory counts, work order reconciliation and assisting with production planning and scheduling.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Production Reporting
Collects, compiles, records or otherwise gathers production data.
Prepares reports for production including, but not limited to, daily production report, downtime report, daily production score card, KPI’s, etc.
Monitors all production lot number tracking and usage that is collected and reported on a daily basis.
Planning and Scheduling
Assists in production planning and scheduling.
Reviews and approves timesheets for production employees based on production supervisor’s weekly schedule.
Reviews and monitors employees’ leave request forms and tracks employee attendance using the attendance tracker.
Inventory Controls
Review materials from previous day’s production run
Count material and prepare for return to stock (RTS)
Ensure that all materials are properly labeled for RTS
Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in writing and implementation of production standard operating procedures.
Performs production line checks as designated; verifies metal detector and x-ray operation.
Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Performs other work related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of experience in a production line environment, preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Power point, Excel and Word.
Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
TB certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.
