• At least 1 year’s experience as a Nursery Room manager
• Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Statutory Framework
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence to use your initiative

• Lead and inspire your room team to deliver outstanding care and education
• Ensure daily routines, activities, and experiences meet the needs of all children in line with the EYFS framework
• Provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive
• Be a key person for children, building strong relationships with parents and carers
• Monitor children’s progress, completing observations and planning next steps in learning
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of every child in your care
• Support, mentor, and supervise staff within your room – ensuring high standards of practice
• Maintain accurate records, including health & safety, accidents, and safeguarding logs
• Work closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy to support the smooth running of the nursery
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
