The City of Portland is seeking a Business Systems Analyst I within the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). This Business Systems Analyst (BSA) I is responsible for configuration, analysis, support, training, and application maintenance in the PBOT Work and Asset Management system. They collaborate with the technical team and stakeholders to understand business needs, troubleshoot issues, and configure applications to effectively support business processes. This role requires analytical, technical, and communication skills to drive system improvements and support organizational objectives.
What you’ll get to do:
- Configure Maximo system settings, workflows, and data structures to align with business requirements and industry best practices. Perform regular system maintenance activities.
- Provide support to end-users on the Maximo system and educate them on troubleshooting techniques.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, customizations, and processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build out user guides on system functionality and best practices. Train users on Maximo.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure that system changes and enhancements meet business requirements and are free from defects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements based on user feedback, industry trends, and organizational goals.

This position is part of the Technology Services Division at the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). The division is made up of Business System Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, Database and Server Administrators, and GIS Analysts.
