Primary Purpose This Programmer Analyst is responsible for the effective design and operation of the University Library’s IT applications. As our Library continues to evolve in a digital world, you will contribute to new initiatives that grow and transform how we support research, teaching, and scholarship to meet the needs of the University of Saskatchewan’s community. Nature of Work: This position is part of an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining the University Library's IT systems. We collaborate with librarians, library staff, and other Information and Communication Technology (ICT) staff to deliver various IT services for the University Library. These services are a mix of vendor-supported on-premise and cloud-based software solutions, open-source software, and in-house custom developed web applications and tools. This role will primarily be in support of the library’s web-based systems. You will have a significant role in fulfilling our goals towards efficiency and effectiveness in our systems’ operations. Success will require building strong relationships with library staff we support and IT groups that support us. Tasks may require quick upskilling, sound judgement, and confident decision making.
