Your Role
Join our NSW Casualty Underwriting team as a Senior Liability Underwriter, where you'll be underwriting Liability lines insurance risks, ensuring they align with our business strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
We're looking for a skilled Senior Underwriter to help drive the growth and profitability of our liability portfolio. In this role, you’ll assess and price moderate to complex risks, apply targeted underwriting strategies, and support key operational activities such as credit management and servicing.
Role responsibilities include providing class-leading levels of customer service to our Broking partners, and growing the portfolio utilising your relationship skills and market contacts. You'll also collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries to strengthen client relationships, lead the use of rating tools, and mentor junior team members—contributing to both portfolio performance and team success.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).
About You
- Liability underwriting or liability broking experience required.
- Experience with insurance legal and regulatory environments, as well as risk analysis and selection.
- Intermediate knowledge of pricing, portfolio management, and intermediary account management.
- Working experience with reinsurance and in-depth knowledge of insurance products and their features.
- Strong strategic development capabilities
