About the Role

As a Cold Chain Logistics Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in designing high-quality, feasible, and compelling supply chain solutions for temperature-controlled logistics customers. Working closely with pursuit leaders, sales, and cross-functional teams, you will analyze customer requirements, map supply chain flows, and build tailored solutions that deliver clear value for both the customer and Maersk.

This role is hands-on, with a strong focus on solution design, costing, and pre-sales support. You will be part of a regional or global pursuit team, contributing to Maersk’s growth in critical Cold Chain sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, and perishable commodities.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support

• Partner with Sales and Solution Pursuit Leaders to understand customer pain points and map supply chain flows.
• Translate customer requirements into feasible, competitive, and compelling solutions.
• Develop detailed design documents for Cold Chain customers, including Pharma, that capture the solution scope, operating models, cost structures, value propositions and draft P&L.
• Support customer presentations and articulate solution value propositions in a consultative manner.
• Ensure assumptions and scope are clearly documented and handed over to implementation teams.

Costing, Pricing & Implementation Alignment

• Capture and analyze core data and assumptions required for solution design.
• Collaborate with Implementation teams to define implementation strategy, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Develop robust costing models and pricing recommendations, ensuring both customer value and Maersk profitability.
• Highlight potential upselling opportunities and future growth areas with customers.

Knowledge Sharing & Standardization

• Apply Maersk’s global solution engineering standards, tools, and methodologies.
• Share best practices and lessons learned to strengthen the Cold Chain Solutions Engineering community.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in solution design processes.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Experience in Cold Chain Logistics, preferably in solution design, operations, or implementation.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into structured solutions.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics networks, including warehousing, transportation, and temperature-controlled flows.
• Understanding of commercial solution sales processes and consultative selling techniques.
• Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and drive to continuously learn and improve.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in pharma, healthcare, or perishable commodity supply chains is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital tools, IT integration, and process design methods.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification is advantageous.
