Summary
Dev Technology Group is hiring a Development Team Lead to support our program in serving a dynamic government customer delivering mission-critical functionality for multiple web-based applications. We are looking for an experienced development team lead who has strong communication skills, clear technical understanding, a desire to learn new things, and a customer focus. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively, serve team members, directly engage with customers, and enjoy learning new technologies and business areas.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications
- Manage assignments, track progress, and address blockers/issues for a team of 15+ developers
- Provide mentorship to developers to include complex problem-solving, input to technical design, and suggested process improvements
- Ensure work gets completed accurately, effectively, and timely by enabling team members to work together and grow their skills, and facilitating with other teams and stakeholders
- Apply a cohesive team effort to analyze and address all challenges that come your way
- Coordinate with the release manager, database lead, testing leads, and management to ensure proper resource availability and skills to schedule and implement releases
- Work closely with engineering and security leads for technical delivery on the program, and ensure the government technical lead is engaged and informed
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least 10 years of related work or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Java applications and associated frameworks
- Experience with legacy Java Server Pages and MVC model for legacy apps
- Experience using JavaScript and/or JavaScript frameworks like Angular
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot
- Experience with Hibernate
- Experience writing automated unit tests
- Experience developing in and deploying to a Cloud environment (such as Amazon Web Services)
- Experience with NodeJS or Python
- Experience with AWS Lambda
- Experience with Serverless, Micro Frontend, Micro Backend services
- Experience working in an automated development environment, using CI/CD tools such as Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Skill with leading the assignments and workloads for a development team
- Skills with working in a story-based Agile team development environment using Jira or a similar tool
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Experience with IBM MQ, AmazonMQ, or ActiveMQ
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Experience working on a federal government project
