Main Duties
Deliver on the objectives of the commercial management strategy.
Administer and optimise NEC4 contracts, from high-volume activities to one-off, high-value projects.
Build trusted, collaborative relationships with supply chain partners.
Lead on commercial processes: change, valuation, disputes, and final accounts.
Assess and certify completed works, payments, and performance incentives.
Monitor, forecast, and report on contract performance to enable informed decision-making.
Spot opportunities to drive efficiency and innovation across contracts and processes.
What we're looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates with:
✔ Strong background in contract administration and commercial management (ideally within NEC4).
✔ Financial management and analytical skills — able to translate data into insight.
✔ Excellent relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence and negotiate.
✔ Experience managing disputes and resolving complex issues.
✔ Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or Civil Engineering.
✔ Bonus points if you’re chartered (RICS) or working towards it, and/or have exposure to the utility or water industry.
