We are seeking a dedicated and experienced certificated teacher to tutor students as well as coordinate and manage a course for our Saturday Tutorial program. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about student success and has strong leadership skills to manage both direct tutoring services and a team of student tutors while creating a comprehensive academic support system.
Required Documents
Required:
Valid teaching certification in any subject area
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience
Strong knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy across multiple academic subjects
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Experience supervising and managing staff or student workers
Ability to work with students of varying ages, grade levels, and skill levels
Reliable Saturday availability for entire program duration

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Saturday Tutorial program operations
Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and academic standards
Create a structured tutorial environment that supports diverse learning needs across multiple subjects
Collaborate closely with the Saturday Academy Coordinator, Director of Education Services, and other pertinent staff.
Maintain accurate records of program attendance, student progress, and tutor performance
Participate in program planning meetings and professional development opportunities
Student Tutor Recruitment & Management
Actively recruit high-achieving students seeking community service hours for college applications and graduation requirements
Identify and assist in hiring qualified student tutors for part-time paid positions
Participate in interviews and screening processes for student tutor candidates
Provide initial training and ongoing professional development for student tutors
Create and maintain tutor schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all subject areas
Monitor and evaluate student tutor performance, providing feedback and support as needed
Foster a collaborative team environment among student tutors
Salary Info
including one additional hour of paid preparation time for each Saturday Academy session, and additional hours of approved paid time to collaborate with pertinent personnel.

Total Sessions: 18 Saturday sessions
Preferred:
Master's degree in Mathematics or Education
Previous experience in tutoring or supplemental education programs
Familiarity with diverse learning styles and differentiated instruction
Experience with educational technology and online learning platforms
Knowledge of brain-based learning strategies and kinesthetic teaching methods
Experience coordinating with classroom teachers and aligning supplemental curriculum
