About the Department

Records and Identification Division
Office Assistant III Contract (SR-10)

Contract will be responsible for fulling requests for police incidents, in the forms of internal HPD, outside agency, and external public requests. To include microfilmed and digitalized documents; perform redactions as necessary to meet legal requirements in order to fulfill requests. Provide information and assistance to HPD personnel and the public regarding redactions and fulfilling police report request.

  • Computes and collects fees; prepares receipts for copies released and accepts and receives all cash transactions for the Records Division. 
  • Provides verification letters for claim losses listed in reports. 
  • Provides counter service for persons requesting copies of reports and authorizes the release of copies.
  • Maintains daily statistics of records requests, indexes police report documents and requests for reports.  

Minimum Qualifications

Training and Experience:  
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school, and two years of clerical experience.
