Location: 3133 W Frye Rd., Suite 525, Chandler, AZCompensation: $19.00 – $23.00 an HourSchedule: Part-time | Flexible hours | Fully On-Site

If so, Embark Behavioral Health invites you to apply for our Medical Records Coordinator role—a pivotal position that ensures timely, secure, and compliant access to client health information.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge 100% of records requests within 24 business hours
  • Fulfill 95% of requests within the standard 5–7 business day window
  • Intake, track, and manage records requests via email, phone, fax, and mail
  • Use our ticketing system to prioritize, assign, and monitor requests
  • Coordinate approvals for legal documents (e.g., subpoenas, court orders)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and communication
  • Abstract essential data from client records (e.g., assessments, treatment plans, academic reports)
  • Compile reports and metrics for compliance and performance tracking

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 1+ years in records management, healthcare admin, or behavioral health
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, FERPA, and confidentiality standards
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Tech-savvy with experience in EHR systems (e.g., BestNotes, Salesforce, FreshService)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be 21+ years of age

Preferred Credentials:

  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
  • Experience handling mental health records and working with diverse populations
