JOB GOAL

Recruit’s students for Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These requirements are a representation of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as an exhaustive list of specific duties and responsibilities. Management may direct employees to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. 


  1. Represents PHSC to targeted constituencies; visits high schools and speaks to groups and individual students; meets with school counselors, administrators and/or other constituent groups to promote outreach activities.
  2. Develops coordinates and delivers outreach programs and marketing strategies, including community workshops and related recruitment efforts; arranges visits and tours for prospective students and parents.
  3. Provides input for internal coordination of college student recruitment and enrollment management goals.
  4. Develops and maintains partnerships between PHSC, local school systems, community partners, companies with tuition educational reimbursement plans, and other identified groups throughout the district.
  5. Coordinates college participation for local college recruitment fairs, conferences, and related outreach events to help establish and administer programs for recruiting students to all PHSC programs.
  6. Assists the Director, Recruiting and Enrollment Management in preparing reports and proposals regarding recruitment and outreach activities and responds to inquiries from students and minority agencies and for setting goals for overall enrollment as well as for individualized programs.
  7. Creates, packages, monitors, and distributes resource materials for student recruitment programs; analyzes trends in recruitment; develops strategies for program evaluation. 
  8. Performs other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Ability to travel to all PHSC campuses and other areas required.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience working with diverse student populations and some experience in student recruitment or advising at the postsecondary level.
