Dashi Rivers is a new Applied Behavior Analysis business in the family of companies held by Kennedy Care. Kennedy Care management is a shared service that supports the backend operations of 4 distinct businesses, adding Dashi Rivers as the 5th. The BCBA will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing Applied Behavior Analysis services and continuously expanding their skill set and knowledge through research and training. This position is considered a leadership role within Kennedy Care. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, driven analyst who constantly utilizes data to develop and update an individualized treatment plan that improves quality of life through socially significant goals. Constructive, mutualistic relationships with Behavior Technicians, colleagues, clients, and families is an ongoing aspect of this position at Dashi Rivers. Solid communication skills and openness to feedback are necessary. The BCBA should be organized and driven to perform in this role successfully.

 

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. Compensation is dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments
  • Provide medically necessary supervision based on Dashi River’s standards for quality of care
  • Writing, monitoring, and updating programs and behavior intervention protocols
  • Data collection, interpretation, and analysis
  • Caregiver guidance meetings held weekly
  • Training and Supervising behavior technicians and RBTs
  • Staying up to date with research in best-practice
  • Attending and maintaining relevant trainings and certificates
  • Maintaining license and credentials
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • The work location varies on a case-by-case basis and can include the client's home, a company facility and community. Candidates should expect to work within a 25 mile radius of their home and/or Dashi Rivers center. 
  • Additional time or flexible schedules may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job:

  • The team member may be exposed to a client who exhibits physically aggressive behavior, which can include kicking, pinching, punching, biting, hitting, etc. The team member may need to use appropriate behavior management techniques with a client, which requires agility, quick reflexes, strength, the ability to run and restrain the child, and the ability to use physically evasive movement. 
  • The team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, lift and carry the child, hear, type, see, and write. 
  • The team member must be able to push independently, pull, lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Requirements

Education:

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines
  • Completion of 8-hour supervision course, or willing to complete within first 30 days

License/Certification

  • Valid Michigan Driver's License 
  • BCBA certification from the BACB, in good standing
  • Active state license, in good standing, when applicable

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years working with children and autism spectrum disorders, preferred
  • 1+ years supervising a caseload of ABA clients and engaging caregiver support, preferred
  • Crisis management experience, preferred
