QUALIFICATIONS:
Be able to demonstrate competency in the sport.
Have the ability to work within a diversified and meaningful program.
Have previous background sufficient to warrant a leadership role within a character-building program.
Emphasize good sportsmanship, academic excellence, positive attitude and character.
Have ability to work effectively with students, parent groups and the general public.
Must be knowledgeable and competent in first aid and emergency procedures (valid American Red Cross first aid card and American Heart Association, or other authorizing agency, CPR card, California Athletic Trainer Certificate), coaching techniques, rules and regulations, and psychology as it relates to sports participation.
Must complete mandatory CIF Coaching Principles training or provide verification of completion.
Must complete mandatory Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training and provide verification of completion.
Must apply and obtain the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing if a teaching credential is not currently held; the application fee is $100.

Salary Info
Compensation is based on the level of the coaching position as stated in the current ACE bargaining agreement.
