The Technical Part:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and four (4) years of experience within the Medical Devices Industry.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English
  • Soft Skills: Writing and communication skills
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma and Validations. 
  • Shift: 1st and according to business needs. 
  • Experience in: 
    • Documentation reports.
    • Execution of equipment validations.
    • Root Cause Analysis tools ( 5 Whys, DMAIC, Fishbone).

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, and material handling.
  • Designs the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
  • Designs the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations. 
  • Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and rejects in the manufacturing lines. 
  • Will participate in hands-on activities to validate process equipment. 
  • Participate in the execution of Lean transformation initiatives to improve labor efficiency. 
  • Document engineering reports for testing, and change orders to keep BOM accuracy.
