Job Description:Join our Revenue Accounting Team as a key contributor responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer discounts and rebate accounting. This role requires a resourceful, self-motivated professional with exceptional analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, and the ability to independently research and solve complex problems. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s revenue recognition and rebate management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Rebate Program Management
- Oversee the end-to-end rebate process, collaborating closely with the Pricing and Sales teams to understand program terms and performance.
- Organize, log, and track all deals approved with rebates, ensuring complete and accurate records.
- Gather and reconcile monthly sell-out data from Sales to validate rebate activity against contractual and non-contractual entitlements.
- Obtain and verify rebate agreements from the Pricing team and supporting documentation from Accounts Receivable (AR) to substantiate customer claims.
- Analyze and compare claim details to contractual agreements and promotional terms.
- Accounting & Period Close
- Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks and entries for rebate accounts and deals.
- Record and review accruals and claims, ensuring all programs are properly accounted for in accordance with agreed terms.
- Reconcile open entitlement agreements and clear outstanding liabilities at quarter-end and year-end or as needed.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Reconcile rebate accounts to maintain accurate reporting.
- Research, validate, and resolve discrepancies or disputes relating to customer rebates and audits.
- Prepare and analyze monthly rebate data to ensure consistency with management expectations and company metrics.
- Audit & Compliance
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to fulfill audit requests and ensure compliance with all audit deadlines.
- Support internal controls and documentation requirements related to rebate processes.
- Process Improvement & System Implementation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline and automate rebate processes, including supporting the adoption and implementation of Vistex as a rebate management solution.
- Special Projects
- Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analyses.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, and develop solutions through research and critical thinking.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven track record as a self-starter and effective problem solver.
