Home of our product development is the Products & Engineering department, which consists of 14 cross-functional product teams across 3 product domains (Consumer, Business and Platform), working in an agile environment.


At Trusted Shops, we leverage AI and Big Data to deliver actionable insights to our Customers. We’re looking for a passionate Cloud Data Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Review Insights Team. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and love building data-driven Products, this role is for you.


You'll collaborate with a cross-functional Team and embrace our "You build it, you own it" mindset, ensuring full Ownership of your work.



Your Key Responsibilities as a Cloud Data Engineer (f/m/d):

  • Design and implement scalable Cloud Infrastructure Solutions using AWS and Terraform.
  • Maintain and optimize Data Pipelines with AWS Athena and AWS Glue.
  • Build and troubleshoot Backend Components written in Java, Typescript, and Python.
  • Support the Migration of Legacy Applications from a JBoss monolith to a serverless infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues, and bridge application errors to their root causes.
  • Collaborate with the Team to ensure efficient CI/CD Pipelines, ideally using CircleCI.
  • Ensure application monitoring and automation of infrastructure management.
  • Drive continuous learning and improvement within the Team.

A Typical Day as a Cloud Data Engineer (f/m/d) at Trusted Shops:

  • Start your day by setting up your remote workspace or adjusting your desk at the office.
  • Review your Task Manager and dive into the current stories, from short-term tasks to larger Projects.
  • Join the daily Standup to sync with the Team and align on priorities, reviewing the Backlog or Kanban Board.
  • Work on sprint tasks, whether Coding solo, in Pairs, or in a Mob-Programming Session.
  • Lunch Break: either at Home or by exploring local Restaurants with Colleagues near the Office.
  • Participate in afternoon work Sessions or Meetings, structuring the day based on Team needs.
  • On your Self-Education Day (monthly), focus on personal growth with a self-directed learning agenda and no scheduled Meetings.
  • Wrap up the day with Team-building activities such as Waffle Day or enjoy a drink on the Rooftop Terrace.


Qualifications and Skills we’re looking For:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Hands-on expertise in AWS Data Integration Tools.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more Programming Languages (Java, Python, or Typescript).
  • Familiarity with Containerization Technologies like Docker and AWS ECS.
  • Experience building CI/CD Pipelines, ideally with CircleCI.
  • Strong debugging skills, with the ability to read logs and identify issues in both Infrastructure and Application Layers.
  • A collaborative mindset, with excellent communication Skills in English (German is a plus).
  • A desire to learn and improve continuously, with a proactive attitude.
