We are looking for a Working student (m/f/d) in the specialist area Data Science and Engineering in our Digital Transformation team based in Munich. 

 

The position is limited to 6 months and can be performed with maximum 20 hours per week. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of data models and analyses across areas such as sales, production, and R&D
  • Assist in conducting statistical analyses, forecasting, and machine learning tasks under guidance
  • Help design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure reliable and efficient data flow
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and contribute to translating business questions into analytical tasks
  • Participate in ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity in ongoing projects
  • Contribute to communicating insights through reports, visualizations, or presentations

 

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis and manipulation. Any other laguage is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals in data modeling, statistics, or machine learning concepts
  • Exposure to one or more of the following areas is a plus: time-series forecasting, computer vision, predictive modeling, reinforcement learning, or optimization methods.
  • Experience in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals or similar industry is a plus
  • Interest in working with real-world business data from diverse domains
  • Willingness to learn tools for data pipelines and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt, etc.)
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
