POSITION SUMMARY
The Retail Associate assists the Director, Campus Store in the daily operation of the campus store, a resource person for student staff and various clerical duties for and related to the campus store.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist the Director, Campus Store with all operational aspects of the Campus Store
- Assist with student worker schedules and staffing, and staff training
- Provide customer service and Benedictine Hospitality to all guests who enter the campus store
- Maintain proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) operations, online store sales, and troubleshooting techniques to assist with daily transactions, reporting and balancing requirements
- Actively involved with inventory control: generating purchase orders, processing new merchandise, receiving goods, and accounts payable for the campus store
- Participate in vendor meetings with the Director, Campus Store; including view, select new merchandise, and assist in planning product mix
- Prepare and participate in semi-annual inventory
- Serve as a student staff resource to assist with online store responsibilities (i.e., mailing orders, website updates etc.)
- Serve as a student staff resource to assist with sales transactions, customer service, balancing the cash register and inventory
- Work special events including Saturdays for home football games, move-in, graduation, alumni reunion and Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR)
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned, follow College policies and procedures

Education
High school graduate or higher
Experience
At least 1 year in retail store or customer service-oriented business.
