Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and and Teacher, is responsible for applying general skills supporting the program educational process. Please refer to attached job description for specific responsibilities.

Special Duties/Responsibilities: This position is assigned to the transitional kindergarten classroom and serves the teacher and TK students in all settings including the classroom, recess, lunch, specialists, field trips, etc.

Students Served: Children who are at least 4 years old and have been identified through a screening process to be in need of additional preparation to be successful kindergarten students in the following school year.

Salary Range: $27.91 - $31.74 Paraeducator B per 2025-26 Public School Employees Salary Schedule
Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule:

Start Date: October 6, 2025
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Paid Hours: 6.5 hours per day
Lunch Break: 30 minutes unpaid break
Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays

Qualifications:

Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
1. Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro (https://www.ets.org/parapro),or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program;
2. Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
3. Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.
Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
