Job Description & Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of change initiatives within the Trade/Market Surveillance function. The Business Analyst will work closely with Surveillance Analysts, Traders, Compliance Officers, Technology teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze impacts, and ensure smooth transitions of new systems, processes, and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Should be well versed with Change management process including drafting business requirement documents, functional specifications documents, preparing user stories and test cases.
  • Ability to write multi-application test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases with expected outcome.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, with a strong focus on derivatives.
  • Conduct thorough impact assessments of proposed changes on Surveillance operations, systems, and controls.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on Surveillance processes and systems.
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to market surveillance. management of risk limits, risk reporting etc.
  • Advise stakeholders on regulatory changes and their impact on Surveillance operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, communication/ interpersonal, documentation, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills required.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of data flow, inputs and data management tools such as JIRA, Confluence etc.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, virtualization and BI solutions – SQL, Python, Dremio, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau etc.

Mandatory skill sets:

Capital Markets, Business Analysis, Change Management

Trade Surveillance (preferable but not mandatory)

Years of experience required:

8 to 12 Years

Education qualification:

Graduate mandatory/Post graduate degree or relevant qualifications (E.G. CFA/FRM/PRM Charter progress)
