Job Description:
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience in records, registration, or related fields.
Supervisory experience with a strong aptitude for managing teams and tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database systems with excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong grammatical accuracy.
A self-starter with outstanding organizational skills, adaptability, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse population is preferred.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supervising and training the Records team, including Records Assistants and Transfer Articulation staff.
Collaborating with various departments to support academic processes, compliance, and student needs.
Managing traditional undergraduate student records, including grade changes, academic progress, and commencement details.
Developing and documenting office policies and procedures, creating training materials, and maintaining web pages.
Supporting projects related to advising, reporting, and transfer agreements, ensuring accurate and efficient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Experience in post-secondary records, registration, or closely related areas, including supervisory responsibility preferred.
Understanding of, or aptitude to grasp quickly, PLNU's academic policies and procedures.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite including accurate data entry and understanding of computerized databases and reporting systems.
Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of the university.
Aptitude to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong grammatical and spelling skills.
Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner under deadlines.
Strong time management, organizational skills, and the capacity to use independent judgment in prioritizing tasks while experiencing frequent interruptions.
Ability to exercise important interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with students, faculty, and staff with a professional demeanor.
Strong aptitude to take direction and work effectively as a supportive, positive, and cooperative team member.
Able to exercise adaptability, integrity, and patience in all situations.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Capability and commitment to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
