Job Description:
We are seeking an associate engineer to help lead our development team in the role of Software Engineer I. Your role will sit within an Agile team constructing datasets, pipelines and visualizations for our Lens Platform. We will need you to ensure adherence to best practice in building modern software architectures.
Expectations:
- Work in collaboration with team members to scope and design systems aligned with organizational goals of modernizing and streamlining data processes
- Assist in troubleshooting and support efforts for existing systems and applications
- Implementation and delivery ensuring coding, unit testing, system integration, defect resolution, and technical documentation adheres to our standards.
- Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones (EST)
- We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field
- Experience with coding in languages including but not limited to ReactJS and Python
- Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Familiarity with agile development practices and version control systems Git
