What you get to do:

• As a Maintenance Tech SR, you’ll perform a variety of general maintenance tasks throughout the facility. You will:
• Perform one or more facilities maintenance functions including, but not limited to, plumbing, painting, concrete work, natural gas supply, fire systems, playground safety inspections and maintenance, and stadium bleacher repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of commercial equipment, including culinary appliances/equipment, compressed air systems, pumps, automated gating systems and pneumatic systems.
• Be responsible for adhering to all established safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Utilize safe handling, storage, and disposal practices with chemicals, toxic substances and hazardous waste in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required, including assisting other locations, departments, and areas in the park as needed.

What it takes to succeed:

• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent, required. Some college or trade school preferred.
• Five years of facilities maintenance experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a company driver’s license.
• Ability to use wide variety of hand tools and power tools needed to perform the essential job functions.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and man lifts.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced constantly changing work environment
• Ability to pass SeaWorld Safety and Environmental tests including respirator fit test.
• Strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use computers to perform tasks including email, e-learning, internet research to support troubleshooting and equipment maintenance and data entry for tracking of maintenance.
• Ability to read and effectively interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, schematics and drawings.
• Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

Compensation: 23.50 USD Hourly
