Job Summary
The Senior Finance Specialist provides comprehensive financial and operational analysis across multiple product lines. Collaborate closely with corporate FP&A, PP&C and other cross-functional teams to lead financial and operational reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Responsible for preparing and consolidating financial reports and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy across various records such as the general ledger, sales journal, and fixed asset ledger. Additionally, may lead special projects focused on financial system enhancements, updates to accounting procedures, and refining accounting system processes. This role requires a high level of autonomy and the ability to make strategic decisions to drive project success. 9/80 work schedule. Must be in US Central time zone.
Responsibilities
- Consolidated financial and operational reporting, enabling strategic decision making by finance and product line leadership.
- Optimize financial and operational processes in partnership with PP&C leads and cost accounting
- Provide financial and operational guidance to finance leadership and PP&C Leads, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional team members, fostering collaboration and synergy to achieve financial goals.
- Expertise in SAP, comprehending its intricacies and interdependencies, while effectively navigating cross-functional collaborations to optimize financial processes and outcomes.
- Ownership of monthly financial performance analysis against forecast and plan, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's overall objectives and drive sustainable growth.
- Assist with internal and external financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Four-year college degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent, plus a minimum of five years related experience, and or the combined equivalent of experience and education.
- Must be a US citizen, eligible to support a DoD contractor.
- Experience in the Defense Industry, with a deep understanding of its financial intricacies, regulations, and contracting practices, or operation finance is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to take ownership of complex financial problems and implement effective solutions that drive organizational success.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a multi-tasked workload within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Sound decision-making skills and demonstrated leadership compliant with policies and procedures, ensuring ethical and regulatory adherence. Logical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form, across functions and management levels, facilitating seamless collaboration and alignment of financial strategies with organizational goals.
- Proficiency in presenting financial data across functions and management levels in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner.
- Skilled in implementing effective processes and controls to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Extensive experience with Financial Planning and Forecasting, utilizing tools and methodologies to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, leveraging software tools for financial analysis, reporting, and presentations.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP, particularly in relation to financial analysis and program management, leveraging its functionalities to drive data-driven insights, streamline processes, and optimize financial performance across programs.
- Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Travel less than 10%.
Cubic Pay Range
$75,000 – $109,023 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
