The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming, extensive experience with IBM DataStage, and expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and optimize data workflows in a remote working environment.Key Responsibilities
- ETL Development and Support:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
- Python Programming:
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools using Python for data integration, transformation, and automation.
- Optimize Python-based workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
- Data Integration and Transformation:
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Design and implement data transformation processes to meet business needs.
- Database Management:
- Work with relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval.
- Optimize queries for performance and scalability.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Partner with data architects and other engineers to ensure robust data pipelines.
- Document workflows, processes, and code for transparency and ease of maintenance.
- Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and Python programming. 5 Years of Healthcare experience.
- ETL Tools: Proven expertise with IBM DataStage.
- Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python.
- Database Skills: Experience with SQL, relational databases, and query optimization.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Certification in IBM DataStage or Python-related technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
