Job Description:
A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Director
Drive the achievement of sales and service goals across all ACG product lines and agent channels within an assigned geography. Agent channels include Captive Agent (CA), Entrepreneurial Agent (EA) and Independent Agent (IA).
Ensure the attainment of assigned agency, product, membership, operational and customer satisfaction objectives.
Develop, implement and oversee medium-term (1-3 years) distribution strategies focused on increasing market penetration, maintaining competitive edge and exceeding revenue expectations.
Create and direct the execution of business plans designed to grow, protect and diversify relationships with current and potential customers.
Participate in and/or support corporate-wide initiatives.
Monitor the competitive landscape in order to forecast growth opportunities and/or challenges; identifying innovative means to address issues and leverage opportunities for advancement
Implement continuous process improvement/optimization initiatives to ensure efficient operations
Instill and maintain a culture that instills trust and encourages leaders and front-line employees to make decisions that are in the best interest of ACG and its customers/members
Build effective teams by motivating sales leaders, agents and branch staff to achieve high levels of performance, meet revenue goals and contribute to the overall growth of ACG and the AAA brand
Develop and align plans to manage multiple complex competing interests
Serve as the liaison with enterprise marketing, recruiting, and training divisions to guarantee adequate support of sales and service personnel, EAs and IAs
Ensure key messages and rationale are effectively communicated in all directions and the escalation of issues which cannot be solved locally
Collaborate with peers/sharing best practices to ensure the utilization of uniform, highly-efficient processes across the corporate footprint
Cultivate positive business and community relationships and networks within assigned geography, state and across the corporate footprint
Maintain compliance with all sales, lines of business, corporate, Human Resources, local and government policies and regulations

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license – with satisfactory MVR
Currently hold or able to attain and maintain appropriate State Property & Casualty Insurance licenses within timeframe designated by ACG leadership
May be required to attain appropriate State Life Insurance Sales licenses within timeframe designated by ACG leadership
Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Work experience
Five years of successful experience managing a comprehensive multi-location and/or multi-distribution channel business to include some or all of the following:
Successful development of local insurance sales markets
Determining and assigning sales, revenue, customer satisfaction, agent retention and operational goals for locations under multiple channels or one channel within assigned geography
Proven track record of developing and implementing annual sales and operational strategies necessary to exceed annual goals (P&L targets, revenue, customer satisfaction and sales goals and performance objectives)
Demonstrating effective issue identification and resolution techniques
Managing branch operations, annual budgets and expenses
Implementing successful workforce management structures/resource allocation
Extensive leadership experience to include performance managing, leading, coaching/ mentoring resolving issues associated with assigned personnel/agents
Motivating and enabling employees and sales agents to successfully meet objectives and goals
Handling customer appeasements and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Successful candidates will possess:
Knowledge of:
Multi-agency insurance sales channels, such as CAs, IAs and EAs
Insurance, travel and financial products, service and regulations
Sales techniques and delivery systems
Business drivers, marketing concepts, managing P&L, operational processes (i.e., in-bound/out-bound call strategy) and compensation plan design
Techniques used to:
Influence and persuade others
Select, develop and coach captive and non-captive sales agents
Motivate and reward a successful sales team
Work Environment
This is a hybrid work arrangement (time spent in office and remote). Depending on the employee's role and leadership's assessment, some employees will come in to an ACG facility on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on an "as needed" basis for key meetings and collaborative activities. Most employees will be required to come into the office, at a minimum, for important departmental meetings or teambuilding events.
Some travel is required to include overnight travel and exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes
Willingness to work irregular hours
