Purpose

The McCombs Master of Science Programs Office is hiring a Senior Recruitment Officer to strategically recruit qualified candidates by managing all aspects of the prospect lifecycle, from initial engagement through application submission. This role involves developing and executing targeted recruitment plans, coordinating on-campus and off-campus events, and cultivating relationships with prospective students, alumni, and external partners. Collaborating closely with admissions, marketing, and program staff, the Senior Recruitment Officer aims to build high-achieving cohorts for the MS Programs Office and McCombs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with and engage prospective students throughout the admissions and enrollment process on an individual basis via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Use assessment data to understand target student population and develop a strategic recruiting plan in collaboration with MSPO and Marketing staff.
  • Coordinate all aspects of on campus visitations, information sessions and other recruiting events. This may include recruitment and outreach activities with colleges and organizations throughout the US and internationally, representing the university at college fairs and programs, implementation of on-campus events at the University of Texas, and traveling as necessary to implement the MSPO recruitment strategy.
  • Partner with MS Program and Career Management staff to identify alumni and current students to support the admissions process. Develop processes to funnel requests from prospective applicants to speak with alumni or current students.
  • Partner with Advisory Council members and external stakeholders as needed to support admissions.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and MSPO Admissions teams to identify broad and varied pipelines and convert prospective students into applicants.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least five years of experience in recruiting, admissions or program coordination.
  • Experience conducting presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and establish rapport with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with multiple overlapping deadlines.
  • Able to work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Demonstrated success using Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new technologies

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters’ degree in higher education, counseling, or related field.
  • Previous success planning events and previous work experience in graduate admissions or recruiting experience.
  • Experience in a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, preferably Salesforce.
  • Experience using Canva or similar tool to design marketing materials

Salary Range

  • $55,000 – $60,000 + depending on qualifications.

Working Conditions

  • Works in standard office conditions, in a shared office environment.
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

Employment Eligibility:
